Facial cosmetic surgery for men requires a more conservative approach than women to ensure they retain
the rugged facial features that define the quintessentially handsome male: a low and heavy brow, minor facial lines,
a strong angular jaw line, full cheeks and a prominent chin.
This is even more critical when it comes to facelift surgery. The aim is to refresh, restore and to rejuvenate the face rather than make the face appear unnaturally tight or stretched or – even worse – more feminine.
Dr Liew believes that a good facelift should always look very natural. By concentrating on the deeper facial layers – the “SMAS” - facelift surgery is more about rearranging and lifting the sagging facial layers. The overlying skin is simply re-draped and excess skin excised.
This delivers a very natural looking result, making the patient look younger and refreshed without any tell-tale signs of surgery. Scarring in most cases is virtually invisible.
Out of regard for patient confidentiality a selection of before and after photos of male patients who have had facelift procedures are available for private viewing by appointment.

Just like any facial cosmetic surgery for men, it is critical they are treated more conservatively than women. The aim is to enhance not feminise.
For eyelid surgery, we aim to ensure men retain the rugged facial features that define the definitively handsome male: a lower and slight heavier brow with a slightly lower eyelid crease compared to the women.
Dr Liew believes most men with excessively low eyebrows can be treated with a brow fixation procedure rather than browlift surgery. This procedure can be combined can bewith upper eyelid surgery through the same incision. In most cases these procedures can be performed as office based surgery.
Similarly, the approach to lower eyelid surgery in men also needs to be more conservative. The aim is to reduce the fatty bags but to avoid the “operated look”
This procedure delivers very natural looking results, making the patient appear more attractive, younger and refreshed without any tell-tale signs of surgery.

Strong, bold facial contours – particularly wider cheek bones and a well-defined angular chin and jaw line – are widely regarded as the ideal male facial features.
Facial contouring surgery with the use of carefully chosen and well positioned chin and cheek implants can dramatically change the facial profile and contours, enhancing the overall facial harmony. It can also strengthen your existing features, further masculinising the face.
The implants are generally inserted via the mouth with no visible external scar. This delivers a very natural looking result, making the patient look more masculine without any tell-tale signs of surgery.

Known in Asia as the "double eyelid", this procedure has become increasingly popular in Australia over the past decade. It’s relatively simple surgery which creates a soft natural looking upper eyelid crease, making the eyes appeared larger and better defined.
Asian males who seek this surgery do not want to “Westernise” their appearance. Rather, the aim is to naturally enhance the eyes – making them look brighter and less puffy.
The key to successful Asian male eyelid surgery is to understand the Asian perception of an attractive eyelid.
The eyelid crease can be created with either an “open surgical technique where an incision is made in the skin or the less invasive “closed” surgery where the eyelid is formed with the insertion of a few sutures. The technique used will largely depend on the condition of the eyelid.
Often, this surgery is combined with the correction of some underlying droopiness of the eyelid (ptosis repair).
Most cases can be performed as office based surgery with mild sedation.

Prominent ears can cause great distress for some people – many of whom have often been teased about this condition since childhood.
A skilfully performed otoplasty can have immediate and dramatic results which transform the lives of patients suffering from ears that stick out or a range of other deformities. This is a procedure with a very high level of success and minimal complications.
